TELEFAST Y2K Statement

As you may already know, we all face a challenge to ensure that our computer systems and equipment, including software, hardware, and firmware, can correctly process the year 2000 date change, commonly referred to as Year 2000 Compliance. TELEFAST defines Year 2000 Compliance as:

Year 2000 Compliant shall mean that a system or application accurately processes, calculates, compares or sequences date or time data from, into or between the 20th and 21st Centuries; or the years 1999 or 2000; or with regard to leap year calculations.

TELEFAST has taken reasonable and prudent steps to assure that neither our customers, nor TELEFAST itself is adversely affected by any Y2K related problem in our systems. We have purchased and installed new hardware and software where deemed appropriate and necessary. In other cases, a re-engineering effort took place. Tests were conducted to further assure us that these systems will continue to function properly. Thus, we are pleased to announce that as of February 1999, TELEFAST systems are considered Y2K compliant as defined above.

It should be noted that TELEFAST is a manufacturer of products. We therefore have done everything in our power to provide an uninterrupted flow of product to our customers. Although our manufacturing equipment should not be impacted by the Y2K problem, we are looking into any problems that may cause downtime such as power outages and phone line interruptions.

This statement is based on the current status of our own Y2K compliance efforts and on the information we currently have on the Y2K efforts of our vendors. Because of this, we are unable to provide a warranty or representation with respect to the year 2000.
